To wish impossible things

Because, for the nature of the world, we have hopes in events that, of taking place, only would provide frustration and bitterness to us; this is the reason why the pessimists are between those ones who used to have hope, because to have a black vision of the world it is necessary to have believed firstly in it and in its possibilities.

Schopenhauer says that the word "life" is an euphemism of the word "suffering". The pain can change its form, but of one or another way it is always in the human existence.
The one who wishes objects, events or persons, begins a trip towards the frustration. It is like that because the human being suffers for obtaining what he wants, and in case of obtaining it ... Well, in case of obtaining it, also he suffers because nothing repairs the long-suffering pain. Schopenhauer affirms that along the life, the man suffers more than he enjoys.
The only solution is to wish as little as possible and we all know that it is impossible...
